Alejandro Trevino is a multi-instrumentalist currently based in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated Berklee College of Music in Boston with a degree in Bass Performance, and then spent several years working in Nashville before returning to Iowa. Throughout these years he was involved in numerous bands and other musical projects.
Since returning to Iowa, Alex has been playing bass with Iowa blues-rock staple, "Brutal Republic"; country-soul act, "Tank Anthony Band"; and jazz with the "Gabriel Alves Trio". He plays guitar in alternative rock band, "The Whiskee Shakes", as well as his own solo-project "Funshi!", ranging from folksy singer-songwriter material to psychedelic instrumental music.
Alejandro is an adjunct assistant for the Iowa Central Community College Music
Department and offers private instruction for applied guitar and electric bass, as well as harmony/ear training and improvisation concepts for all instruments.
